After a sluggish start, the North Gwinnett flag football team is flying down the fast lane. 

Gwinnett County powers North Gwinnett and Parkview will meet this week in GPB's Football Fridays in Georgia showcase. 

Optimism is the common theme around the state for new coaches, despite how rosy or difficult the situation may be.

The high school football coaching carousel continues to spin in Georgia. There have been almost 100 coaching changes so far and a handful of vacancies still waiting to be filled. Each year the coaching turnover is roughly 20-percent, but this year could be higher than average due to some big job openings.

Old rivals North Gwinnett and Norcross are loaded with prospects when they meet to determine the region championship. 

GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia will conclude its regular-season schedule with the Region 7-7A championship game between North Gwinnett and Norcross.

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters.
