200 hundred high school athletes from across Georgia showed off their skills in a combine-like workout in front of college flag football coaches, hoping to secure offers to play at the next level.
The No. 1 high school football recruit in the country pulled a signing day shocker. Travis Hunter from Collins Hill High School in Georgia announced he would attend Jackson State and play for coach Deion Sanders after being verbally committed to Florida State for over a year.
The North Paulding girls won their first state title, the Murray County girls got revenge, the Morgan County and Wheeler boys padded their trophy cases.
The Creekview girls in Class 5A and the Rabun County boys and East Laurens girls in Class A Division 1 hoisted trophies for the first time. The Alexander boys won their second championship.
