Welcome to Physics in Motion – a new digital series for high school physics from Georgia Public Broadcasting! The series is comprised of seven units of study divided into segments. Under each segment, you will find support materials designed to provide practice and reinforce concepts. A teacher toolkit is available and can be requested using this form. You only need to submit the form once. The toolkit provides instructions and answer keys for study questions, practice problems, and labs. GPB offers the teacher toolkit at no cost to Georgia educators.

We pay a visit to the CSX REDI Center in midtown Atlanta, where we talk with the fine folks of CSX about their 3,000 employees scattered around the state. REDI is the acronym for Railroad Education and Development Institute. That’s where most CSX employees come to learn about what it takes to work on the railroad, which also makes it a great place for us to learn more about CSX jobs.
The University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences invites us on a tour of its Mountain Research and Education Center, where we interview Dr. Wayne Hanna, one of the foremost turf growers in the world! He’s grown grass for sports complexes as far away as the World Cup Soccer Tournament in South Africa, and as close to home as UGA’s own athletic fields. Teachable Moments center around agriculture, including photosynthesis, the nitrogen cycle, and more.
