Political Rewind: Eve of primary election sees Georgia candidates make final pitch to voters

Monday on Political Rewind: On the eve of the primary election, Mike Pence arrives in Georgia to campaign for Brian Kemp while Donald Trump will hold a rally for David Perdue. It's a race that polls say may be out of reach for Perdue, but he argues his voters will surprise the pundits. Other candidates in closely watched races also make their final arguments to voters today, as well. Among Republican contests, Brad Raffensperger is looking to survive the wrath of Trump in his campaign for another term as secretary of state.

McBath And Handel Trade Blows In 6th Congressional District Debate

It was a dogfight from the start in a debate Tuesday between U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath, a Democrat, and Republican challenger Karen Handel ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

McBath, who beat Handel in 2018 to win the once-heavily conservative district in the suburbs north of Atlanta, led off with a quick jab at Handel for moving to cut funding for cancer screenings to the pro-life group Planned Parenthood.
