Cedar Grove remains No. 1 in Class 3A, despite its out-of-state loss. That only heightens the expectations for this week's Football Fridays in Georgia opener against Westlake. 

Three schools won their first state championships over the weekend and five others added to their legacies. 

The final GPB Football Rankings have been compiled and eight teams have been established as No. 1 as the playoffs begin this week.

The state’s top-ranked teams held their positions going into the final week of the regular season, with only a few new faces creeping into the GPB Rankings.

With two weeks left in the regular season, the GPB high school rankings continue to be in flux.

There were no changes at the top of the GPB Rankings this week, but most of the classifications were shuffled following an upset.

Ware County moved up one spot to become the third team to earn the No. 1 ranking in Class 5A.

There were no changes at No. 1 in any of the classifications in this week’s high school football rankings. That includes in Class 3A, where Cedar Grove lost its game to Class 7A Mill Creek and did not fall.

The Early County Bobcats are the third team to hold the top spot in the very fluid Class A Division II rankings.

There are new No. 1 teams in Class A, with Prince Avenue Christian ascending to the top in Division I and Clinch County moving up in Division II.

With a roster loaded with prospects and incentivized by last season's runner-up finish, Hughes is No. 1 in Class 6A and could be the best all-around team in Georgia. 

The final GPB Sports' 2021 Football Rankings are out and only two schools went back-to-back and two finished the season undefeated. See who ended up where. 

The final regular-season rankings offer a basket of changes, including a new No. 1 team  in Class 3A.

There’s a new No. 1 team in Class 4A in the GPB Sports Top 10 Rankings. Marist, which was ranked first earlier this season, moved up a spot to replace Jefferson, which lost its first game of the year. 

There was plenty of movement in the GPB Sports Top 10 rankings after some highly ranked teams were beaten last week.

With Warner Robins absorbing its first loss, Cartersville takes over the top spot in the Class 5A rankings 

Results in two of the most powerful regions has caused havoc with the rankings in Class 5A. But none of the state's No. 1 ranked teams have changed for Week 9. 

There were few upsets last week, so there were no seismic shifts in the GPB Rankings.

There are two new No. 1 teams in this week's GPB Rankings. Buford moved back to No. 1 in Class 6A  and Rabun County jumped into the top spot in Class 2A. But the talk of the town was Warner Robins. How good are the Demons?

There were no changes at the top of the GPB Football Rankings this week, even though Class 3A No. 1 Cedar Grove lost. The Saints fell to Class 7A Colquitt County but retained their poll position. However, there were changes as teams moved in and out of the rankings across classifications.
