Results in two of its powerful regions has caused havoc with the rankings in Class 5A.

Although No. 1 ranked Warner Robins was not affected, the No. 2 through No. 7 spots sustained some serious juggling. Ware County moved up to No. 3 after its 35-3 win over Coffee, which dropped to No. 7. Calhoun moved to No. 4 after it outslugged Blessed Trinity 32-27, but the Titans retained their No. 9 position.

“Those teams are all so good,” said Steve Graham, one of the voters on the GPB Rankings. “Warner Robins looks like the best team in 5A, but there’s not much difference in the other team we have ranked in that classification. “

All of the No. 1 ranked teams held onto their position – Collins Hill in 7A, Buford in 6A, Warner Robins in 5A, Jefferson in 4A, Cedar Grove in 3A, Rabun County in 3A, Irwin County in Class A Public and Trinity Christian in Class A Private. Cedar Grove remained No. 1 despite its 45-38 loss to Class 7A No. 7 Lowndes.
