Well before 8 a.m., dozens of people gathered Friday in the Battery at Truist Park — the first fans to arrive for a celebration of the Atlanta Braves World Series victory that will culminate with a Ludacris and Big Boi concert this evening.

GPB Morning Headlines for November 4, 2021

Attorneys in the Ahmaud Arbery murder trial are moving forward with the 12 jurors and four alternates they'll need to hear the Glynn County case. That's despite Prosecutor Linda Dunikoski arguing there's only one Black juror among the 11 other white panelists.

The World Series Trophy is now home in the Atlanta area.

Longtime Braves fans know Bobby Cox as one of the winningest managers in baseball history. But they may not know what happened in the decade since he retired that's kept Cox mostly away from games at Truist Park. In 2019 Bobby Cox had a stroke. But the legendary baseball figure remains influential with the team and close to Brian Snitker, the Braves’ current manager. In this week's Georgia Today, we explore how the Braves’ miracle season is in no small part due to their special bond.
