Region rivals Cedar Grove and Sandy Creek, who played for the football championship in the fall, meet for state basketball title.

The Lumpkin County girls will defend their state title against Hebron Christian, the only unbeaten team left in Georgia.

Newton High School guard Stephon Castle can add another bullet point to his lengthy resume after making the final roster for the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game. He also boasts a gold medal from his time with Team USA Basketball’s U18 team and was named the 2022 Region 4 7A Player of the Year.

Brookwood's Diana Collins is already in the record books as the school's all-time leading scorer but she isn't done yet. The all-star senior is hoping to lead the top ranked 7A Broncos to a state championship.  

Basketball coverage is back at Georgia Public Broadcasting. After 6 seasons, GPB Sports will once again air the boys, girls, and adapted sports GHSA Championship games across all classifications. The coverage also includes 3-point contests and a boys slam dunk competition. All games will take place March 8-11 at the Macon Centreplex in Macon, GA.

Norcross became the only team this season to sweep the boys and girls basketball championships, each winning it all for the first time since 2013 – when they accomplished the same feat.

The Cross Creek boys won their second straight state championship, the Lovejoy girls won their second overall and the Lumpkin County girls and Grovetown boys each won their first on Day 3 of the GHSA basketball championships at the Macon Coliseum.

Tri-Cities comes up clutch at the line to topple defending champion Eagle's Landing and win its second state title. 

Georgia Player of the Year Sydney Bowles sparks Woodward Academy to its second straight championship. 

A 16-point performance from Jalexs Ewing helped propel Westside to the state championship. 

Aaniyah Allen had 17 points and six rebounds to lead Elbert County to their first state title.

Spencer used a balanced attack to take down Westover 62-42 and win the Class 4A boys GHSA State Basketball championship. 

Avery Fantucci hit a game-winning layup at the buzzer in the second OT to give Marist its first title in a wild GHSA 4A Girls basketball championship .
