Brookwood's Diana Collins is already in the record books as the school's all-time leading scorer but she isn't done yet. The all-star senior is hoping to lead the top-ranked 7A Broncos to a state championship. The team is currently undefeated in region 4-7A play and has only one loss overall on the season.

As for personal accolades, Collins broke the freshman, sophomore, and junior scoring records, as well as the program record after averaging 22 ppg during the 2021-2022 season. That earned her the title of Regional Player of the Year and a spot on the all-state team. She’s also an honor student and has earned a scholar athlete award.

Collins is ranked No. 70 on the espnW's 2023 HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings and had offers from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, West Virginia, and many others. Collins ultimately decided that she felt most at home in Columbus, Ohio, and will be joining head coach Kevin McGuff and the Buckeyes next season.

I spoke with Collins about the recruitment process and how she’s preparing for the next level in this interview.
