As two "Masterpiece" series favorites return for the summer 2018 season, it feels like the return of old friends.

On Sunday evening, viewers departed Concord, Massachusetts with Marmee as Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy face, for the first time, a future where they must raise themselves in the new Masterpiece and BBC adaptation of "Little Women."

This Saturday, one televised event will unite the world as millions will turn their attention to Great Britain.

The quintessential American story of sisterhood is back in conversation, and on PBS, in a big way this year.

What drives us to create? The new nine-part series Civilizations, premiering Tuesday, April 17, examines the idea that the human urge comes from wanting to make something with an eternal quality that is more lasting than ourselves.

Held at Lenox Square’s Neiman Marcus, the event drew a diverse, stylish crowd, including several members of the GPB community.

GPB will be adding two new britcoms to the line-up beginning Saturday, March 31st.
