Highclere Castle has become one of the most sought after vacation destinations. According to the castle’s Facebook page (yes it has a Facebook page!) public tickets are sold out for the year. Only a few private tour tickets are available if you can get it on your own.

George Herbert, the 8th Earl of Carnavon and his wife Lady Fiona Carnavon own Highclere Castle and maintain it. Lady Carnavon is a historian and has written books about the estate.
