College Scholarships are available, if you know when to look

It’s common knowledge that thousands of college scholarships go unused every year.

The question is why?

Likely it’s because many scholarship offers are obscure. Perhaps even more likely it’s because the scholarships requirements are so specific and unique that few students actually qualify.

For example,

  • The Moody’s Math Challenge Scholarship is open to those students who successfully complete a real world applied math-modeling problem in less than 14 hours. You can see the challenge with this scholarship. High school students who think a math problem may take as long as 14 hours aren’t exactly jumping at the opportunity.
  • The Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship is given to students who intend to major in welding engineering.
  • The ARRL Charles Clarke Cordle Memorial Scholarship is open only for amateur radio operators Georgia Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant assists the dependent children of Georgia law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and prison guards who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty

As you can read, there are scholarships for a wide range of interests.
