Homes in the Yupik Eskimo Village of Quinhagak on the Yukon Delta in Alaska are threatened by shoreline erosion as climate change makes the planet warmer. More than 22 tribes and nonprofits in the U.S., including Alaska, have had millions of dollars in federal funds for infrastructure projects frozen. Some of those projects were meant to help address the impacts of climate change.

US government will loan $1.45 billion to help a South Korean firm build a solar plant in Georgia

The U.S. Department of Energy is loaning $1.45 billion to support a South Korean company's bid to build up key parts of the solar supply chain inside the United States. The loan announced Thursday will be key to funding a $2.2 billion complex that Qcells, a unit of South Korea's Hanwha Group, is building northwest of Atlanta.

$3M in federal money will help GA farms and businesses with clean energy, saving money

Millions of dollars are going to Georgia farms and small businesses in an effort to help implement renewable energy technology, federal officials said Friday. On Friday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced $3.1 million dollars would go to farms and small businesses in rural Georgia from grants that mainly stem from the Inflation Reduction Act.
