Lawmakers: Senate passes bill to expand bail-restricted offenses on Day 23

The Georgia Senate passed a bill that would eliminate unsecured judicial release for some offenses. Senate Bill 63, sponsored by Sen. Randy Robertson (R - Cataula), aims to crack down on crime by expanding the list of crimes that require cash bail.

A South Korean man is sentenced to 40 years in a stalking and murder case

Gun theft from cars is 'completely preventable,' former ATF exec says

The number of guns stolen from cars is on the rise.  A report by the group Everytown for Gun Safety found that in the decade ending in 2020, Warner Robbins, Ga., had the fifth-highest rate nationally of guns stolen from cars. Scott Sweetow, a retired ATF executive and former special agent in charge of the Atlanta Field Division, spoke with GPB’s Peter Biello.
