A Class 5A showdown between Hughes and Newnan on Football Fridays in Georgia highlights this week's schedule of top games

The No. 1 teams remain unchanged, but Northgate, Southwest DeKalb and Temple hopped into the rankings for the first time this season.

The winner of this week's North Cobb contest at North Paulding, featured on Football Fridays in Georgia, will have a leg up in the race to win the Region 5-6A championship. 

GPB Sports Reporter Hannah Goodin caught up with Southwest DeKalb girls basketball coach Kathleen Richey-Walton to talk about everything from the Panthers playoff run, her numerous state championships and her proudest accomplishments as a coach.
