The North Oconee boys successfully defended their state championship in the second day of competition at the GHSA basketball tournament at the Macon Coliseum. The Creekside girls won the school’s first championship and finished the season as the state’s only unbeaten team. The Hardaway girls also won their first state title and the Butler boys won their first championship since 1966.

Sandy Creek and North Oconee are looking to defend their state championships, but five other boys teams will be fighting for their first title. 

North Oconee uses late touchdown to beat Marist, win its first state title.

The Greenbrier defense shuts down North Oconee to win Division 2 flag football championship. 

Only North Oconee stands between Greenbrier and a second straight state championship. 

The only championship game between two undefeated teams is in 4A, where No. 3 North Oconee challenges No. 1 Marist. 

North Oconee will try to deny another trophy to two-time reigning champion Southeast Bulloch.
