Three teams won their first state championship on Day 3, while Hebron Christian added to its haul.

The second day of the GHSA basketball championships at the Macon Coliseum turned out to be especially memorable for the four winning teams.

Clinch County, Griffin girls, Wilkinson County, Pace Academy boys earn championships on the first day of the GHSA basketball tournament.

No. 1 Wheeler will need to beat Cherokee for the fourth time this season in order to add to its championship collection. 

It will be an all-Gwinnett showdown between defending champion Norcross and No. 1-ranked Brookwood. 

No. 1 River Ridge is out to dethrone defending champion Lovejoy, the No. 2-ranked team, and win its first state championship. 

State power Houston County takes on Gwinnett in a rematch of last year's championship. 

No. 1 Kell plays No. 2 Eagle's Landing -- the two top  boys teams in the state all season -- for the championship. 

No. 1 Warner Robins meets No. 2 Kell in a contest between the two teams who have dominated the classification this season. 

The Fayette County boys chase that elusive first state championship against mighty Pace Academy. 

Baldwin and Griffin play for the fourth time to determine who comes away with the big trophy.

Region rivals Cedar Grove and Sandy Creek, who played for the football championship in the fall, meet for state basketball title.

The Lumpkin County girls will defend their state title against Hebron Christian, the only unbeaten team left in Georgia.
