Scientific Games manufactures more than 3,500 instant lottery games.

A ribbon cutting was expected to take place this morning to celebrate Scientific Games' newest manufacturing technology and game design operations.

Scientific Games, a designer and manufacturer of instant lottery game tickets, has acquired an advanced manufacturing technology called Alpha P-7. This new technology will expand the company's Forsyth County plant by adding approximately 40 jobs this year.

"Scientific Games currently provides nearly every U.S. lottery with technology, products or services and we are very proud to be the Georgia Lottery's primary instant game provider since the Lottery's inception in 1993," says Jim Kennedy, Executive Vice President and Group chief Executive of Lottery for Scientific Games. "In fiscal year 2013, the Georgia Lottery celebrated a record-breaking $2.6 billion in instant game sales and $927 million in contributions to education in the state. As Georgia continues economic and job creation initiatives under the leadership of Governor Nathan Deal, Scientific Games is proud to be a part of the state's robust technology infrastructure, talented workforce and pro-business climate."
