Former Atlanta Falcon Great, Tommy Nobis, is Still Making a Positive Impact with Nobis Works

Tommy Nobis was the first Atlanta Falcon. His stature in the Altanta sports world is well-known. But perhaps his greatest work has come off the field, where since 1977 the non-profit he helped start, Nobis Works, has helped thousands of people with disabilities find jobs.

This week on Georgia Works Radio we talk to the good people with Nobis Works to find out how the organization is still delivering after three decades.

Also, Georgia's Labor Commissioner, Mark Butler, joins us to talk about a set of skills many young Georgians are missing as they try to enter the workforce for the first time - "soft skills". He says some employers believe this is even more important than the technical skills they traditionally learn in school.
