Nissin Brake Georgia is adding 30 new jobs at its manufacturing facility in Walker County.

The Walker County Development Authority recently announced auto parts manufacturer, which builds disc brake components, steering knuckles and engine mount brackets for Honda, will receive a $1.8 million property tax abatement in exchange for agreeing to expand its Rock Spring, GA facility to 150,000 square feet with a total of 235 employees.

The overall expansion investment is expected to be $33 million. Nissin currently employees three shifts at the plant. Hourly employee wages are up to $20 per hour

The Japan-based Nissin Brake Company also has plants in Ohio, Brazil and Mexico.
