The Outlet Mall of Georgia will be creating 2,000 jobs for the the Pooler and Savannah areas.

There is a new outlet mall soon to be located in Pooler, just outside of Savannah. It is not only going to be a place to shop, but also a family destination complete with a playground, carousel, kiddie train and picnic pavilion. Most importantly, there’s going to be as many as 2,000 more job opportunities for the Pooler and Savannah areas.

Ben Carter, of Ben Carter Enterprises, who is building the Outlet Mall of Georgia at Savannah, also built the Mall of Georgia just north of Atlanta. The Outlet Mall of Georgia will include 170 stores, with the opening date scheduled for April 1, 2015. The mall represents a $200 million investment and will produce an estimated $400 million in annual sales revenue, according to Carter.

The outlet mall “will have a huge impact on tourism spending and tourism visits,” Ben Carter said in SavannahNow.com. “The location is phenomenal.”
