Pratt & Whitney first began in military aviation.

Pratt & Whitney, a leading manufacturer of aircraft engines, is relocating to Columbus, Georgia, according to Aerospace Manufacturing and Design.

The company plans to employ 45 people initially, and projects to open in the Muscogee Technology Park in early 2014 to service fighter jet engines.
