Georgia Works Radio: Why American Made "Works" [AUDIO]
Business is booming for a shoe manufacturer based in Buford, GA.
Yes, it’s true. With over 25 million pairs of shoes sold, Okabashi shoes are selling product worldwide and have become known as a high-quality, comfortable, and affordable shoemaker.
Contrary to a common belief that apparel manufacturing can only be successfully achieved in low wage countries, the Okabashi headquarters and production facility are in Gwinnett County.
In fact, a new movie, produced by two local Georgia filmmakers looks at the real economic value of producing American Made products.
The movie “American Made Movie” opens in theaters August 30th.
This week on Georgia Works Radio we caught up with the man behind Okabashi Shoes and the producers of “American Made”. Please join us.
