The World's Largest Manufacturer of Vehicle Roofing Systems will Build a Manufacturing Plant in Cherokee County

Dutch vehicle roof manufacturer, Inalfa Roof Systems, has announced it will build a $17 million plant in Cherokee County.

The manufacturing plant which supplies major automobile companies like Kia, Ford, GM, BMW, Hyundai, Chrysler, and Volvo is expected to create 300 jobs.

Inalfa is the world’s largest manufacturer of vehicle roof systems.

According to a press release from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the global search for a manufacturing location ended with an ideal location in northwest Georgia.

“After a four-year search for a location in the South, we couldn’t be more pleased to find our ideal site in Cherokee County,” said vice president of North American Operations for Inalfa Roof Systems Danny Colaris. “The state and local economic development teams, as well as Georgia Power, have all been extremely helpful in introducing us to this strategic location and the advantages of doing business in Georgia.”

“Inalfa joins the dynamic auto industry Georgia has cultivated for more than 100 years,” said Deal. “Our central location in the Southeast, deep workforce resources and logistics infrastructure have attracted well over 300 companies and continue to give the state a competitive advantage in this manufacturing sector.”
