From the Georgia Department of Labor...

Job seekers in West Georgia will have a unique opportunity to connect with businesses looking to fill current or future openings during a career expo sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL). The expo will be held Thursday, June 27, from 1-5 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 150 Tabernacle Drive in Carrollton. The Carroll Tomorrow Career Expo is the second phase of a joint effort between the GDOL and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. The first phase featured a two-day Job Readiness Talent Attraction, which drew more than 200 job seekers. As part of this event, GDOL Special Workforce Assistance Team (SWAT) members wrote new résumés, free of charge, for the job seekers and assisted them in sharpening their interviewing skills and understanding how to use social media to network themselves to potential employers. The job seekers also attended a workshop on making the most of a career expo, and were given a ticket that allows them to attend the expo at 12:30 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than the general public.
