Did you know there’s an online job board specifically for Georgia jobs? Employ Georgia is here for you, and it currently has more than 127,000 Georgia-based jobs available. More than 2,000 Georgia positions were added just last week.

Employ Georgia is 100 percent FREE! All you need to do is register and upload a resume. That’s it. Once you’ve done that you can search for positions posted.

But that’s not all. Once registered, Employ Georgia will match you with open positions even if you haven’t applied or searched for them. This works because of your resume, so make sure you upload one.

You can then set up email alerts that deliver new job listings to your email account that match your resume. Needless to say, your resume is a big weapon as you hunt for your next position.

One point that was especially true in my experience was this:

“One size fits all mentality – Some job seekers tend to submit the same resume for all the jobs they apply to which is a big no-no. While a job seeker should never stretch or falsely list his skills or abilities, he should create a custom resume for each job he is applying. The resume should highlight those skills that apply most to that particular job opportunity. What you think are the most important aspects of your experience may not be what the manager is looking for; don’t miss the opportunity to present your “best fit” resume!  Look for ways to explain your skills in similar examples to what the job description states the manager is looking for.”
