Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing is doubling down on Cartersville as it plans a major—$138 million—investment in additional manufacturing and administration roles.

Through a two-phase expansion, Toyo Tires will construct a new 254,000-square-foot facility with an annual production capacity of 2.4 million passenger vehicle tires. Upon completion of the expansion, Toyo Tires will employ approximately 2,100 Georgia residents.

The new jobs will include positions in production, support, and administration, though per usual with these announcements, we don’t yet know when these positions will be posted. Stay tuned to Georgia@Work for any updates that become available.

For those who live in the Cartersville area but aren’t sure if they have the skills needed to land one of these positions, you need to get to know the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission.

The fine folks at the NGRC can help with job training for individuals and on-the-job training for employers. They also have six are One Stop Career Centers, which are awesome for locals looking to get a start on a job search.
