Byfleet Manor is the real house used as the place where Lady Violet lives. Real estate firm Savills announced the home would be sold after season 6 of the show.

In addition to the notoriety it has for its role on “Downton Abbey”, it was the setting for other PBS series like “Cranford” and Agatha Christie’s “Poirot” and made an appearance on the movie “Into the Woods” as Cinderella’s house.
