Downton Abbey was Theo James' second acting job.

Ex Downton star Theo James is famous for playing Turkish, diplomat Kemal Pamuk, the guy who died in Lady Mary’s bed. (Can you believe the role was the philosophy major’s second acting job?) What James remembers most about his time on the show are his spooked four legged co-stars.

“I remember they had a hound pack because it was this horse and hound and they do the hunt thing,” recalls James on "Live! with Kelly and Michael." “Obviously being an actor they (asked) ‘Do you ride horses?’ And I said ‘Sure yes of course.’”

James wasn’t exactly being honest.

“They put me on a horse and then the hounds bolted behind us and then my horse bolted after them,” continues James. “I was just holding on. I managed to stay on.”

Afterward the crew member asked James again if he rode horses. James replied “Yeah, I was just distracted.”

James has of course moved on to bigger and better things. He’s headlines the movie “Divergent” which is out in theaters today as the love interest. Hopefully no hounds will distract him this time and he makes it out alive after sharing someone's bed.
