The funeral for 8-year-old Secoriea Turner took place in Atlanta on Wednesday.

Turner was killed after armed men shot at her car on July 4th, near the site where Rayshard Brooks was killed by a police officer last month.

Brooks’ death led to the firing of two Atlanta police officers. Former officers Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan are facing charges in the case.

The private funeral was live streamed as friends and family gathered to remember Secoriea Turner.

Joya Florence, Turner’s 1st grade teacher, offered words before the assembled group.

“The power she held in that heart of hers is truly indescribable,” said Florence. “She’s fun, she’s happy, she’s light, she’s rare. I could go on and on about this special child.”

Authorities say 19-year-old Julian Conley has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in the case.

Conley’s attorney says he was peacefully protesting and witnessed the shooting, but did not open fire himself.

Atlanta police are still looking for another man, who has been identified as the first person of interest in the case.

The family’s attorney said the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Turner’s killers has been increased to $50,000
