Rep. Drew Ferguson is set to hose his spring jobs fair March 29 in Carrollton, Georgia.

This year’s event will bring more than 60 employers to The Coliseum at the University of West Georgia and they’ll be looking to fill more than 5,000 (!!) positions.

The event will take place March 29 from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Address:

The Coliseum at University of West Georgia

325 West Georgia Drive

Carrollton, GA 30117

Before you attend the event make sure to check out these helpful tips for making the most out of your time at the job fair.

  • Dress for success. Men, wear a suit and tie if you can. If not wear khakis and a collared shirt. Ladies, wear a suit if you can, too. If not, church or business attire is a smart choice. You might feel overdressed at times, but it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed. Trust me.
  • Come prepared to explain your work history, what excites you, and what you want out of the job fair itself. People are going to ask about all of that, so you should think about what your answers would be before you get there.
  • Have plenty of copies of your resume on hand. If you need help writing a resume, check out this link for helpful tips and template ideas. A nice, clean resume will add to your appeal as a candidate.
  • Be positive! You’re going to meet with people who will do nothing all day but talk to people. They’re going to remember you more if you come in positive, with a smile on your face, and bring excitement to your conversations.
  • Cast a wide net. Make sure to speak with as many business representatives as you can. Even if the jobs available aren’t your cup of tea, that doesn’t mean they’re the only jobs that will be open at the business in the future.
