Georgia Senate Republicans are proposing a new map that would create two new Black-majority districts in the the General Assembly's upper chamber. The new map comes after a federal judge said current congressional, state Senate and state House maps illegally dilute Black votes.

Georgia's 2022 election season ended dramatically this past week, but not because of any large-scale problems with voting. And that's prompting Georgia Republicans to say concerns over a 2021 law that imposed several new restrictions on voting were overblown.

$1.1B Georgia refunds could begin in weeks as Kemp signs law
