Georgia saw a decrease in abortions in the year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe-versus-Wade -- and the state was able to enact its abortion ban past six-weeks of pregnancy. 

Georgia voters are casting ballots ahead of next week's election in numbers that continue to shatter records.

People who are overweight, over 40, or have a family history of Type 2 diabetes are at an increased risk of developing the disease.

Republican Vice Presidential Nominee JD Vance made his case to Atlanta voters over the weekend, as the campaigns zero in on the final days before the election. The visit comes ahead of Former President Donald Trump’s Georgia rally on Monday. 

The National Weather Service still has a few sessions left this year for training citizens to help inform their communities during severe weather. 

Select counties have been approved for emergency food assistance following damage from Hurricane Helene. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and applications are open on a rolling basis.

In Georgia, the winner in the presidential race may be determined by who doesn't vote

In Georgia, nonvoters are the most complicated piece of the electoral puzzle in a state that could decide the presidency. There are more than 47,000 people in Bibb County, Georgia, about 80 miles south of Atlanta, who are eligible to vote but don't.
