Two major Republican candidates have jumped in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate only a week after Kemp announced he will not run for the seat.

The first elected Hispanic statewide official in Georgia was sworn in Thursday morning. John King became the first Hispanic to be elected to a statewide official spot when he defeated Democrat Janice Laws Robinson.
