'Showing new love' to Underground Atlanta, artists discuss resurgence of the storied downtown site

For decades, developers have explored what to do with Underground Atlanta. But now, the long vacant downtown retail center is entering a new phase as a grassroots arts hub, recently hiring set designer Marina Skye and artist Mike Stasny to direct the project. GPB’s Jake Cook spoke with Stasny and artist Jamie Shelton at Stasny’s studio space and art venue in Underground Atlanta.

A federal judge in Georgia has declined to block part of a sweeping election law that shortened the state's runoff election period to four weeks from nine weeks. The judge said Friday that plaintiffs hadn't proved that the shorter period disproportionately harmed Black voters.
