All you have to do is apply, and the application process isn’t daunting or time consuming. Click this link and start applying today, and don’t hesitate, as applications will be cut off on March 30, 2018.

The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who hope to further their education in the skilled trades. The $1,000 scholarship can be used for supplies, tuition, fees, and material and is good at any Technical College System of Georgia institution.

The $500 grant is for high school teachers in Georgia and goes toward the advancement of any skilled-trade related programs they’re currently teaching or would like to start.

Here are two videos we made last year highlighting two teachers who’ve taken advantage of the Trade Five grants. In the first, you’ll see a teacher who used her grant to buy supplies to help her students test out robotics software and development.

In the second video a teacher tells us how she funded a field trip for her students to see what a modern manufacturing plant looked like.
