GHSA 1A Private Final: ELCA vs. Aquinas Football Fridays in Georgia
ELCA scored 22 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat Aquinas 35-14 to win the state 1-A Private championship. QB DJ Hammond had two fourth quarter scores, and Caleb Hood added a 100-yard interception return. Aquinas’ Lorenzo Holmes returned the opening kick 99-yards for a TD, but ELCA quickly responded before taking charge in the final quarter.
