GHSA 5A Final: Allatoona vs. Glynn Academy Football Fridays in Georgia
Allatoona, in only it’s sixth season of football, won the 5-A title with a 10-6 win over Glynn Academy, playing it’s 102nd season. Gary Varner’s team won its final 14 games and became the first Cobb County public high school to win a state championship. After a scoreless first half Allatoona scored on an 80-yard third quarter drive giving the Bucs the lead for good.
