Spencer players celebrate their win over Westover in the Class 4A championship game.

Spencer (30-2) finished the season with 29 straight wins and made Quantavias Allen a champion in his first season as head coach.  It also gave the Greenwave revenge from last year, when they were eliminated by Westover in the second round of the playoffs.

Westover (25-4) got 12 points from Anthony Milton and 11 points and five rebounds from Effrin Smith.

The game was close until the third quarter when Spencer used a 10-0 run to open an eight-point lead. The Greenwave won the quarter 23-14. Westover never really threatened from that point.
