While the cast of "Hamilton" is celebrating their Tony award wins, we invite you to take victory laps with us because of our triumphs at the GABBY and Southeast Emmy Awards.

The Georgia Association of Broadcasters Awards (or GABBYs) recognize excellence in radio and television. The GPB News and On Second Thought team won in the Best Feature Story or Series category for their segment for our transportation series “What Moves You, Georgia”. Our show Two Way Street also received an award in the Best Locally Produced Program (Non News or Sports) category for its “Surviving Ebola” episode.

Additionally our colleagues at WUGA-TV in Athens won for Best Non-News TV program for their last show, "It's Friday Farewell."

The Southeast Emmy Awards were handed out by the regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Saturday, June 11 and we won eight awards. (View the full list here.)

Our group especially cheered for first time nominee and Georgia Outdoors associate producer Andrew Riley who won two trophies. Riley is dear to our hearts because he started out as a college intern and has blossomed into a prolific photographer, videographer and go to guy.

Check out the pictures he took of the Shaky Beats festival and Dragon Con 2015 and be sure to watch his Emmy winning shows the Bees and St. Catherines.
