Immersive children’s experience coming to Atlanta History Center

The Atlanta History Center will unveil a children’s experience in its Goizueta Gallery in January 2025. The Goizueta Children’s Experience, a 5,000-square-foot immersive and interactive exhibition, will allow families to explore, play, and learn about history, culture, and innovation.

Actor Richard Thomas portrays Atticus Finch in the national touring production of 'To Kill A Mockingbird,' based on Harper Lee's 1960 novel set in depression-era Alabama. The story was adapted for the Broadway stage in 2018 by writer Aaron Sorkin. The play runs through May 12, 2024 at Atlanta's Fox Theatre.

In an experiment conducted by researchers at Queen Mary University of London, bees could make their way through an unobstructed path to a feeding area or opt for a detour into a chamber with wooden balls (toys). Many took the detour.

Scientists wanted to learn whether bees, like humans and other mammals, had any interest in playing for fun's sake. They say they have evidence that bees do, and that could change how we view insects.
