GPB morning headlines for October 28, 2024

Republican Vice Presidential Nominee JD Vance made his case to Atlanta voters over the weekend, as the campaigns zero in on the final days before the election. The visit comes ahead of Former President Donald Trump’s Georgia rally on Monday. 

The National Weather Service still has a few sessions left this year for training citizens to help inform their communities during severe weather. 

Select counties have been approved for emergency food assistance following damage from Hurricane Helene. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and applications are open on a rolling basis.
