On Crossover Day, Georgia's House of Representatives unanimously passed a measure to overhaul the state's Citizen's Arrest law.
Tuesday on Political Rewind: New progress was made on major pieces of legislation as state lawmakers worked late on Crossover Day. The legislature faced the self-imposed deadline yesterday to pass bills through either legislative body in the state Capitol.
Our panel of insiders discussed the legislation that made the cut, including bills restricting absentee voting and citizen’s arrest reform.
Plus, the panel looks at bills that did not go anywhere. A controversial bill banning transgender girls from high school sports did not receive much attention at this crucial juncture of the 2021 session.
