Thursday on Political Rewind, an encore presentation of our interview with historian and author Doris Kearns Goodwin. As the 2020 presidential race continues to dominate headlines, our conversation on presidential leadership is as important as ever.

In her book, “Leadership in Turbulent Times,” Goodwin recounts pivotal moments in the lives of four presidents – Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson, and explores how they maneuvered through crises that may have brought down lesser figures.

Goodwin said that while she began researching her book long before Donald Trump appeared on the political landscape, her book has great relevance today.

Join us as we discuss the history of the U.S. executive office and the qualities of the leaders who held the role.
