The last days of the governor's race between Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Brian Kemp have been rocked by allegations made by the secretary of state's office that the state Democratic Party attempted to break into Georgia voter rolls.

The office says it is investigating the alleged attempted breach as a possible criminal action. The Democratic Party calls the charge a desperate effort to swing the election to Kemp – who, of course, as secretary of state, is essentially in a position to oversee the investigation.

This is a story with a lot of moving parts, and, to break it down, Bill Nigut sat down with GPB reporter Stephen Fowler. Since the story broke, Fowler has partnered with the non-profit news organization ProPublica to get to the bottom of what happened.
