On this edition of Political Rewind, it’s been some time since legislators have taken a serious look at further restrictions on abortion in Georgia. But now, a move to all but make the procedure illegal is up for consideration and Gov. Kemp has added his voice to the debate. Our panel looks at what might be the most explosive issue of the 2019 session.
And another hot button social issue is now up for consideration under the Gold Dome, a new version of the always controversial effort to pass a religious liberty bill has been dropped in the hopper.
Legislators are moving forward with a proposal that would take control of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport away from the City of Atlanta and put it in the hands of a state authority. A fierce fight for the biggest economic prize in the state is now underway.
