As college students make spring break plans, many are still buzzing about President Trump’s new executive order that moves the Initiative for Historically Black Colleges and Universities under the jurisdiction of the White House.

 

 We sit down with Morehouse president John Silvanus Wilson Jr. to talk Trump and the HBCU executive order.

Trump says the move will help galvanize support for struggling HBCUs. But the details and benefits of the move are still yet to be seen.

 

 

The president met with a number of HBCU leaders before rolling out the order, including Morehouse president John Silvanus Wilson Jr., who led the White House HBCU initiative during President Obama’s first term.

 

We speak with Wilson Jr. to discuss his meeting with Trump, the executive order, and Trump's relationship with the black community.
