Join GPB’s education outreach team for an exploratory overview of our comprehensive digital resources for elementary school science, including our new VR and AR journey into the woods, the ongoing Things Explained video series, and bi-annual Live Explorations to inspiring learning environments throughout Georgia. Participants will also learn more about how to meaningfully engage students with the thousands of digital resources available through their free streaming account with PBS LearningMedia.

The Junior Scientist Maker Program is a five-part, standards-aligned program whereby students watch a short animation from The Paper Girls Show and participate in hands-on, inquiry-based science activities created by the Center for Inquiry Based Learning. At the end of the program, students embark in a real-world science project by using the Marine Debris Tracker application to track pollutants in their own communities.

There's a lot of water available on Earth, but how much can actually be used for human consumption? In this episode of Camp GPB, Jackie Sherry at the Athens-Clarke County Public Utilities Department shares a fun demonstration to visualize saltwater versus freshwater and how much of that water is accessible for people to drink.
