Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of September 9

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Football Fridays in Georgia Halftime Show Fridays at 7:30 pm on GPB.
Here are our nominees for the week of September 9, 2024.
Beedjy Guerrier, North Cobb Christian, DL, SR
Beedjy Guerrier is a 6'1 242 LBS senior defensive lineman for the North Cobb Christian School Eagles. In 2023, he was awarded GACA All-State and First-Team All-Region, after finishing the season with 81 total tackles, 23.5 TFL’s, nine sacks, eight QB hurries, and two forced fumbles in 11 games. Currently in his senior season, he's notched 16 total tackles and seven TFL in just eight quarters played. The senior only has one offer from Reinhardt.

Jayden Rubbo, Thomas County Central, LB SR
Jayden Rubbo is a 5’10 200 LBS senior inside linebacker for the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets. According to MaxPreps, he ranked 2nd in his state-winning team in tackles last season with 88 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 21 tackles for loss; and is leading his team in tackles this season his senior year. He earned First-Team All-State in 6A and helped lead his team to win the 6A State Championship in the 23-24 season.
He maintains a 3.7 GPA and is a natural leader on and off the field. Co-Defensive Coordinator and Inside Linebacker Coach Seth Boyett says, “Jayden is a privilege to Coach. He is a student of the game and is always in the right place at the right time. When the game is on the line Jayden is the guy that will get us lined up to make a big stop. Jayden will make a big impact wherever he chooses to play at the next level.”

Elijah Frey, Norcross, K/P, JR
Elijah Frey is a 6'1190 LBS junior punter and kicker for the Norcross Blue Devils. In 2023, the 4.5 star nationally ranked #17 kicker and #28 punter, kicked almost 2,000 yards, averaged 58.6 yards, and had 14 touchbacks.
In his junior season so far, he's kicked over 400 yards, including a 46-yard game-winning field goal, and was named a Kohls National Top Performer of the week. He holds a 3.56 GPA and wants to study Entrepreneurship in college.

Geremiah Humbert, Thomasville, OLB, SR
Geremiah Humbert is a 6’1 190 LBS senior offensive linebacker and nickel for the Thomasville Bulldogs. Humbert has collected 64 tackles (40 solo), 10 sacks, along with one fumble recovery. He was selected Second Team All-Region 2x and holds a 3.8 GPA. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Timothy Anthony, Shiloh, CB, JR
Timothy Anthony is a 6'1 165 LBS junior cornerback for the Shiloh Generals. He's notched 40 total tackles (33 solo), one interception and four pass deflections. As a sophomore, he was named All-Region after playing only eight games. Anthony has been on several school visits but has no offers. He's currently getting interest from Mississippi State, Auburn, and West Virginia, just to name a few.

Maddox Geralds, Jonesboro, LB, SR
Maddox Geralds is a 6'0 2015 LBS senior linebacker for the Jonesboro Cardinals. According to Max Preps, he finished his junior season with 131 total tackles (109 solo), 14 tackles for loss, two sacks, four QB hurries and one fumble caused. As a result, he was named First-Team All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State for the 2023 season. He runs a 4.69 40-yard dash, benches 285, squats 385 and has a clean of 285. Here are a few words from one of the Jonesboro coaches, Coach Ed: "Maddox is a sideline to sideline backer that can RUN! He’s a hard worker and a coach's dream player. He’s going to work his butt off every day he loves football and is invested in every area."
He boasts an impressive 4.0 GPA and has multiple offers.

Jalen Ray, Douglas County, DE, SR
Jalen Ray is a 6'1 245 LBS senior defensive end for the Douglas County Tigers. He had a huge game on GPB Sports' Football Fridays in Georgia, helping 6A #3 Douglas County beat 5A #5 Langston Hughes 21-14. Ray closed out the game with back-to-back QB sacks to shut down the Panthers final drive. The 6-2, 245-lbs Senior finished with 11 total tackles, two TFL and three QB Sacks. Through four games, Ray has 25 TT, six TFL and four QB Sacks. Coach Johnny White says even though Jalen is "a little undersized, he is so strong." Ray currently has offers from Reinhardt and Morehouse but is looking for more.
