Flag Football Division 2: Greenbrier 14, Lithia Springs 6

Kenzie Horton threw for two touchdowns to lead Greenbrier to a 14-6 win over defending champion Lithia Springs to win the Flag Football Division 2 championship on Tuesday.
Horton completed 10 of 20 passes for 88 yards and connected with Aaliyah Silver for a 20-yard touchdown and Maggie Pangle for the game-winning 24-yard touchdown with 4:10 remaining in the game.

Horton finished the season with 2,494 yards and 44 touchdowns. Silver, who caught four passes, finished the year with 73 receptions and 14 touchdowns. Alisha Mikel led the team with five tackles. Greenbrier finished the season 19-1.
Lithia Springs (20-2) was led by quarterback Rashiya Minnex-Moss, wo threw for 93 yards, but was sacked four times. Jasmine McDowell accounted for the lone score with a 54-yard reception. McDowell was the team’s leader with seven tackles.
Greenbrier’s defense stopped Lithia’s Nevaeh Shedrick from getting on a roll. The 1,000-yard rusher was limited to 25 yards on seven carries.
It was the first state championship for Greenbrier and coach Daniel Jordan.
